Thanks, Damian. I would be back sooner, but without a production team I think it might kill me!

ABB, it’s great to see classic poetry getting out there. The more we spread the word, the better, and you are producing great videos/podcasts. I enjoyed your great questions and James Sale had interesting and thought-provoking answers.
Two weeks is just too long to wait for the next.

Yes I’m confident it will continue to grow (if slowly) as long as I stay consistent. According to some stats I read, people spend more time consuming more podcasts than books (obviously), TV, and even social media. Though there are 4 million podcasts out there (yikes) it’s still a growing market.

ABB, excellent podcast, (not easy, I know), so many interesting issues covered. James is one learned gentleman. Few can grasp and share more insight on every aspect of “Poetry” than granddaddy Sale. And Susan’s 1st place piece was superb. Great job…

Ha–‘Grandaddy Sale!’ I guess when you’ve been writing poetry for 57 years, you’ve earned that title! But I think I prefer ‘Sale the Venerable.’

I agree, much more appropriate, as would be – ‘Sale the Sage’. 🙂

‘Grandaddy Sale!’ is not quite how I see myself despite making revelations about myself on the podcast. But ABB is edging nearer to the true soubriquet: one small adjustment and then we are there – The Venerable Sale (I’ve always liked the Venerable Bede, so a sort of parallel). Hopefully, increasing in wisdom, holiness and poetic power – by the grace, of course, of God! Thank you for your kind thoughts!

James, I’ve been penning rhyme for 61 years, though clearly self-taught by comparison, and have no grand-kids that I know of (to date) 🙂 I’ve always been motivated by the same concerns in ‘Life’ that all genuine poets are, and am hoping to share as many as possible on the SCP. It was a true pleasure to learn your perspectives on so many aspects of the genre. We have similar motives, similar perspectives, a similar number of years in the biz, and an omnipotent Muse. Pretty fair credentials, I’d say! Thanks to ABB, and thank YOU!

Thank you, young man Mark: Sale the Sage and James the Jimbo!!! Really, it’s great. And love too your expression: the omnipotent Muse! That is good. Let’s press on then.

For those who don’t have time to watch the entire episode, I have isolated a series of shorter video segments on the YT channel:

Great discussion with Mr Sale. The format of the podcast (monlogue then interview) works very well and you’ve quickly found your feet as a host, Andrew. Too many podcasts descend into pointless rambling, but there’s not a moment wasted in yours. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your kind words, Shaun, but please feel ‘upgraded’: you can call me James!!!
