The sweet silence evades me these long days,
When I can close my eyes and hear God speak,
Without words, He dissipates the dark haze,
Occupying my being with the grand mystique.
I never wanted to cause affliction
To you or any sentient being,
Yet in my confusion and addiction
To Self, I’ve hurt you without foreseeing
The ripples that would fill the universe.
For every action good or bad results
In blessings for all or eternal curse.
In cursing you it’s I that I insult.
We are all the body of creation,
Scorn for others is our own damnation.
